Ah, I am sure Burrhead is just fine without medication lol. He has the piece of mind this year knowing that the Blue Devils aren't that good and their defense is severely lacking from what we've all heard.

Both teams have what it takes. I'm not picking a definite winner.

If Clintwood wins, then call an ambulance to revive Burrhead.

And there could be a tidal wave of the green fans if Clintwood wins.

If all the hype is true, Clintwood might beat Gate City. But, I don't think any team in SWVA can "roll over" Gate City with the exception of Richlands.

I'm not sure how good Gate City actually is, but keep in mind Clintwood's only wins this year have been over Grundy, Lee High, and Coeburn. On the flip side, losses include Haysi, Appalachia, and Powell Valley. The game against Appalachia was arguably the worse game any Clintwood team has played in the last 20 years, including the infamous 2001 season.

PV might beat GC this year but it won't be another 47 to 20 if they do.

What I see most likely is Haysi, PV, Honaker, GC (in no particular order) in the playoffs. But that's not a definite. I'm sure it will be hard for GC to stop Clintwood. A win for CW over GC could probably put the Wave in the playoffs.

It's all confusing right now.

Keep in mind that Gate City's wins so far are over those same Coeburn and Lee High teams, Pound (who Coeburn defeated) and J.J. Kelly. Not sure what point you are trying to make by giving Clintwood's defeated opponents and not even mentioning that Gate City's defeated opponents are just are the same and weaker.

I agree both teams are to some extent unproven for this season, with the exception that Gate City has been to the gauntlet so to speak with Richlands.

I'm sure someone can provide some details, but I'm thinking that Clintwood hasn't beaten Gate City since they played years ago in the late 50's or 60's. In fact, the question was brought up recently about which LPD teams have beaten Gate City since they returned to Group A. The only answer so far has been Powell Valley.

Personally, I'd love to see Clintwood get a win over GC. But, I haven't yet seen any evidence that either Clintwood is an exceptionally good team this year or that Gate City is an exceptionally bad team this year.

Burrhead will react to this game in real life the way he does to any other victory. Most of you people can't distinguish between internet Burrhead, and real life Burrhead. He gets his kicks busting the GC folks on here's chops, but he does not obsess over them the way some of you think.

For Clintwood rolling over GC, it won't happen. Anyone who say they will, doesn't really believe it. It should be a good game. Unless, the intimidation factor comes in, then the rolling will come into play. It won't be GC getting rolled though.
